11.30am for 12 midday start
Qld Cricketers Club at The Gabba, Ground Floor 411 Vulture Street East Brisbane
Damien Fleming has played more than 100 games for Australia and is one of the country’s most entertaining cricket callers. A highly popular member of the Big Bash commentary team, Damien is known as the ‘Bowlologist’ because of his theories and insights on the craft. A member of the all-conquering Australian cricket teams lead by Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting, our Master of Ceremonies will have plenty of tales to tell … and it’s no wonder that Damien has more than 197,000 Twitter followers!
A prolific run-scorer at domestic level in Australia and England, Darren Lehmann might have played more Test cricket but for the abundance of talented batsmen in Australia in the 1990s and early 2000s. As a stocky, free-scoring left-hander, Lehmann was able to treat spectators to an audacious mixture of aggression and deft finesse. As a winning team member of the 1999 and 2003 World Cups and twice being named Wisden Cricketer of the Year, our Lead Guest Speaker will entertain you with many stories of his playing days and his later coaching wins with the Deccan Charges in the IPL, Qld Sheffield Shield Team, Brisbane Heat Big Bash League and the Australian Cricket Team, while addressing the adversity of coaching throughout the ‘sandpaper’ scandal in South Africa.

Supporting the Chappell Foundation
The Chappell Foundation raises funds to give to those who provide refuge, nourishment and a better future for thousands of young Australians without a roof over their heads each night.
Help put a roof over young Australians
Australia is one of the greatest countries on earth and yet our rate of youth homelessness is a national crisis.
Each night more than 30,000 people under the age of 25 sleep without shelter.
The Chappell Foundation raises funds to donate to those working on the frontline who provide refuge, nourishment and a better future for homeless young Australians.
The Nudgee Sports Luncheon is proud to be associated with the Chappell Foundation and a percentage of funds raised will assist in the great work being done by Greg and his team.
